This is a resource for Drake University faculty and staff on using Microsoft Copilot.
Outlook email
You likely have already seen Copilot features integrated into your Outlook email. There should now be a “Summary by Copilot” button on every email thread. This allows you to summarize one email or a thread of emails.

You should also see a Copilot button on the left side of your screen in Outlook. That is one of the places where you can access Copilot. Here, you can ask questions and have it access your email and calendar.
For example, you might ask it to look for any emails that mention a certain topic. Or you may ask it to look for events in your calendar.

Office features
More copilot features are available through the Microsoft Office website. You will find them on the Create tab. Not all create tools have Copilot features currently, but you will find them in the online versions of Word, Powerpoint and Excel.

Inside these apps (Powerpoint is shown below), you will find the Copilot logo in places where you can use the Copilot features.

Copilots
Finally, if you are interested in building custom Copilots, you can do that through Copilot Studio. We will talk more about that in a future post.
