Generative AI raises a host of challenging ethical questions on a wide range of issues, including bias, misinformation, environmental impact, workforce displacement, and an overall loss of creativity. This session will provide an overview of the broader ethical issues associated with generative AI, offering practical insights to help you better understand and address these critical issues. Generative AI in Law and Policy

Generative AI is still in a “wild west” phase with respect to US legal policy, as many legal issues about copyright, fair use, and ownership remain unresolved, even as courts have issued significant rulings in a number of lawsuits. At the same time, states are scrambling to develop their own legal frameworks for AI, while at a national and international level, the state of AI law and policy is in flux, with the recent adoption of the EU AI Act alongside of Trump’s reversal of Biden’s executive order on developing safe, secure, and trustworthy AI systems just last month. The aim of this presentation is to give a broad overview of these issues, informed by the latest developments at the intersection of AI and law/policy. Sign up here.

Intro to Vibe Coding

If you ever wanted to learn to code but never got around to it, vibe coding is the trend for you. Generative AI, it turns out, is pretty good at writing code, and that’s the idea of vibe coding. Users simply describe what they want created, and tools such as Cursor and Lovable and Claude Artifacts do the coding for them. This workshop will introduce you to vibe coding and the tools needed to make impressive projects by just talking to generative AI tools. Sign up here.
